Celebrating Growth and Progress Across Our Schools

6 SLPS Principals posing with certificates

We are proud to recognize six of our school leaders who are being celebrated for the progress happening in their school communities.

In recent years, these schools were identified for additional support under federal education guidelines. With that designation came a strong focus on growth, including targeted improvement plans, professional development for staff, and ongoing support from both Saint Louis Public Schools and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

Today, we’re excited to share that these schools have made meaningful progress. Based on the most recent federal accountability measures, they are no longer among the lowest-performing schools identified for support.

This recognition reflects the hard work of principals, teachers, staff, students, and families who stayed committed to improvement and growth.

Please note: Federal accountability guidelines are separate from the state’s system used to determine district accreditation.

We celebrate this milestone and the continued momentum happening across our schools.
